What to Expect


 

Welcome! We are thrilled you are thinking about visiting First Baptist Church in Pembroke.  Walking into a new place for the first time can sometimes be uncomfortable.  We put together this page to help you know what to expect when you arrive and hopefully put you at ease.


Here are a few tips for your first visit on Sunday Morning:

  • You will see people wearing a variety of clothing from a coat and tie to slacks and a collared shirt, a dress, skirt, or pants and a top.  What you wear doesn’t really matter on the outside, just be yourself. We want to welcome you just as you are.  Sunday and Wednesday evenings are a more casual and relaxed atmosphere.                                                                                                                                                                                              
  • Sunday worship service starts at 10:30am! If you are running behind, you can slip in through the side doors of the sanctuary.                                                                                                                                                           
  • We have reserved guest parking waiting for you in front of the youth building, in the front parking lot.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    
  •  Come a little early if you have kids. Our nursery is located to the left of the sanctuary.  You will need to check your kids in and pick up a pager if they are in the nursery. We also have a cry room for nursing babies located in the foyer, to the right of the entrance into the sanctuary. Keep the light turned off for maximum privacy.   Nursery and Preschool Information.                                                                                                                                                           
  • Looking for a Sunday School Class?  There will be volunteers in the foyer to assist you in finding a class.  Sunday School starts at 9:15am. We have a variety of classes that you will be sure to find one that fits you! Click here to see the list of classes. Click here for children's classes.
